Making of new weapons[]
We're not only bringing in weapons from Apex Legends into Titanfall III, we also make brand new weapons with some of them are exclusive to Titanfall III to expand the arsenals of Titanfall universe. As for the new weapons, we look at other games as references (as we do for the campaign with Henry Stickmin-style references), bringing the weapons and adapting it into fast-paced Titanfall gameplay with some of significant changes (because Titanfall III does what Halo 4 isn't).
Also with ammunition types and hop-up attachments, some of it turns into one from other games (like Archer with KE rounds is basically Skewer from Halo Infinite but with no bullet drop and ridiculous wall penetration) but not exactly because we already saw that Halo 4 copied Call of Duty mechanics and we're trying not to blatantly copy that.
We know this decision to borrow something from other games can be detrimental to Titanfall game if done incorrectly but we make sure this decision is done properly so it doesn't turn Titanfall into Halo 4-size mess of Frankenstein monster.
As for the scrapped weapons like R-682 AMAR that originally going to be included, this is due to sandbox redundancy where weapons have very similar function and purpose to eachother, leading to stagnation of Titanfall III's weapon sandbox.
