The Terraforming & Automated Life-control Operation System (TALOS), is an IMC-developed planetary AI that was originally designed for life control system that went rogue; exterminating humanity and taking over the entire planet.
First appeared in Titanfall 3 single-player campaign as side enemies for both IMC and Militia missions and also appears in some Frontier Defense maps especially ones set in planet Tristan.
History[]
Due to communication blackout, not much of it are known prior to Titanfall 3 though there are "strange" fleets heading towards the Outlands, however they are later confirmed to be invading TALOS during the first days of the Frontier War II after the potential threat being overlooked during the previous conflict that was escalated to this point.
It is revealed that prior to Frontier War II, TALOS units broke out of the Tristan and spreads out to other worlds in the Frontier and to the some extent, the Outlands, thanks to the presence of bot factories in Tristan's moon Manuatou (which TALOS took over and slowly draining the moon's resources for manufacturing these units) amongst other factors.
However, they are almost always in small numbers for TALOS units outside their home planet and fortunately, the TALOS AI outside the homeworld doesn't affect nor manipulate the AI of other machines including Simulacrums outside the planet Tristan. Nevertheless, they are fighting against the humanity regardless of the faction they belong to, as seen in the some campaign missions like Attack on Air Traffic where several TALOS fleets invaded and attacked the high-altitude air traffic ring on Gaea.
During the course of the warfare, several TALOS units (especially Simulacrums) out there were captured by the IMC and used against Frontier Militia, notably during Operation Red Tape where the IMC captures several TALOS simulacrums to act as a force multiplier against Frontier Militia attempting to use the Fold Weapon against multiple planets.
