Titan Fall Fanon Wiki

Neutral entities are non-player characters/entities that are neither friendly nor hostile to the player and allies in Titanfall 3 single-player campaign. Although enemies that fight eachother already exists in Titanfall 2 campaign, it is limited to humans vs. aliens combat (e.g. IMC enemies fighting Prowlers, which are also hostile to the player) in terms of enemies fighting each other and aren't neutral.

Overview[]

In the single-player campaign of Titanfall 3, the player encounter another human (and to the extent, aliens) that aren't friendly or even hostile. The behavior of these entities depends on the type of these entities.

Types[]

Humans[]

There are various types of human neutral entities, or in other words, human NPCs other than IMC and Militia. The behavior of these entities depends on the type; armed citizens like local militias don't bother you unless threatened, perpetrators of any crime are usually hostile to anyone (including the player and the enemies of the opposing main faction) who engaged in crackdown of any forms of crime, this includes the foreign but more benign FMITO opportunists and more malignant but local Hornstromp Cartel.

Citizens[]

These are human NPCs that aren't affiliated with the military at all, therefore it is called civilians within the context of the war including Frontier War II. This includes civilian locals and celebrities Apex Games participants.

In the mission "Down the Rabbit Hole" at night, most if not all citizens (especially homeowners) are found sleeping in either hidden places or inside houses, which makes it easier for others to invade their house so long as they don't make loud noises, therefore, most armed individuals use suppressed weapons nearby this territory to avoid disturbing these citizens and start attacking them as they perceive someone else as burglars or something else that threatens their life.

Other than anything mentioned above, there are also Pilots flexing on their jump kits and gunfights or using the actual combat as a mean of training to get a certificate for using Titans.

Perpetrators[]

The more sinister variant of human neutral entities especially organized crime members. This includes robbers, burglars, gangs, pirates, smugglers, and other forms of crime-commiting individuals that engaged in the underworld of the Frontier and especially the Outlands, and as such they don't care about either group. They are more hostile to players than other neutral entities and it is the only type of these human entities that are technically hostile (though it still fights both IMC/FMITO forces since they don't care about either sides because they can profit off both of them, therefore they don't bother picking an either side) rather than neutral, though it is classified as "neutral" entities due to ambiguity and difficulty to separate cartel members from the rest including especially civilians.

However, there are also perpetrators that fight each other, especially in Psamathe where local drug cartels (e.g. Hornstromp) and foreign bandits from the Frontier (e.g. opportunist subfaction of Frontier Militia in the Outlands terrorist group) co-exist.

Cops[]

Police officers and other members of law enforcement (e.g. but not limited to Gaea Global Task Force on planet Gaea) are used to enforce the laws on the Outlands. These people within this category usually will becomes hostile to other human NPCs, especially ones who committed a crime. In-addition to that, some pedestrians can call a police against the player if they found anything criminal (e.g. killing an unarmed perpetrator in self-defense as it counts as manslaughter), which means the police have faster reaction times to the anyone committing a crime of any sort than ones where there are no people besides perpetrators.

The use of force depends on the severity of the criminal activity; people who committed lesser amount of crime would be dealt with less-lethal weapons to make it easier to arrest, and more severe crimes means use of lethal force is authorized and they can kill if arresting someone turns out to be deemed too risky.

Aliens[]

Some alien lifeforms are neutral entities, including variants of otherwise hostile ones like tamed Prowlers belonging to neutral human NPCs, but not the IMC nor Militia since they are either friendly or hostile depending on the side (tamed Prowlers belonging to the same faction as you are friendly while ones belonging to different side are hostile).

Arktanians[]

Technically, Arktanians (and its mechanized units) are neutral entities despite at times, fighting others for various reasons (likely to defend themselves from outside threats) and being marked as enemies by humans. These are ancient technologically-advanced alien species that is thought to be extinct until p0358 in alternate dimension when they stumbled around these aliens, realizing these aliens are still alive on this anomalous dimension.

Trivia[]

  • Some parts of armed citizens and even less aggressive variants of perpetrators are wanting to get anyone else away from their territory and they will not attack until provoked as for the first part, they perceive strangers (including the player) breaking into house as burglars (and sometimes calling cops against you), and as for the latter part, they perceive as a threat to their business.
  • When aimed at neutral entities asides the knocked-out/sleeping entities (which is indicated as turquoise color on the HUD), the crosshair is colored either purple (if you're aiming at police officers), yellow (when aimed at neutral entities asides cops and even Arktanians), or green (if aimed at unarmed entity or anything that don't attack the player even when threatened) instead of usual red/orange (enemy) and blue (friendly). This also applies to other parts of the HUD.
  • Lock-on weapons like Smart Pistol MK7 doesn't lock-on to neutral entities unless they becomes hostile towards the user unlike friendlies and police officers where these weapons won't lock-on even if they turned against you.
