The Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (also referred to as the Interstellar Mining Corporation),[1] or IMC for short, is a faction that appears in Titanfall, Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends, and recently Titanfall 3 as reincarnation in post-Apex timeline.
The IMC, formerly called Hammond Engineering, is a massive industrial conglomerate based on Earth. With Earth's support, IMC deployed its fleets to the distant, independent human colony worlds to exploit their rich resources. Facing the loss of their homes and freedom to the IMC invaders, the colonists formed a militia known as the Frontier Militia and fought back, sparking a civil war that spread throughout human space.
The founder of the IMC was Doctor Hammond, said to be at least 200 years old (or dead, depending on who is talking), and the current chairman is known as Hammond Jr. or Mister Hammond,[2] a descendent of the founder.
History[]

Reformation from tyrant past and as a secretive faction[]
Before the second Frontier War, on the surface, the IMC were retracted and withdrawn in the Outlands to focus on the first Frontier War on the Frontier, but in reality, the IMC in the Outlands are present albeit secretive. However, the more secretive IMC in the Outlands are mostly distanced themselves from its past tyranny with ARES Division and the Battle of Typhon back in the first Frontier War.
It is unknown how the IMC is still present in the relative peace of 2730s.
Frontier Militia incursion of Mercenary Syndicate[]
- Main article: Frontier Militia incursion of Mercenary Syndicate
Following the gradually restoration of communication after blackout in 2737, the Frontier Militia of a different group (that eventually called FMITO by the IMC) invaded the Outlands with a motive that later to be revealed as "to provide complete freedom from any influences". Eventually the IMC became upset about the continued terrorist attacks on their sovereignty and are allied with Mercenary Syndicate of the Outlands, but they have resorted to starting a full-scale second Frontier War as other counterterrorism efforts were ineffective. Riots were commonplace during FMITO invasion of the Outlands as the local population were upset about the return of the Frontier Militia and the IMC and the war that comes with it.
Frontier War II[]
- Main article: Frontier War II
Following the dangerous escalation of terrorist attacks on the Outlands to a large-scale warfare in 13 March 2742, the IMC fights against FMITO invaders in the Outlands, with help from Mercenary Syndicate.
However over the course of this war in the Outlands, Jeanue betrayed p0358, forcing them to become half-independent, half-FMITO pragmatist Pilot with the purpose of disrupting Jeanue's plans and uncovering the truth. Over time, the members of the IMC gradually started condemning Jeanue's actions on p0358 and also slowly uncovering the truth about Jeanue being a double agent working for the Syndicate, and thus the reformed IMC members betrays the Syndicate and joins FMITO pragmatists to defeat the common enemy. Eventually, Jeanue has kicked out of the IMC, giving the former IMC Pilot p0358 their opportunity offered by Kuben Blisk to rejoin the IMC and condemns the traitor's actions themselves and shifted their focus to defeating the Mercenary Syndicate instead and allowing FMITO terrorist organization to join forces with reformed IMC subfactions, forming the IMC-FMITO coalition.
