―In-game description

The Bocek Compound Bow is a Pilot compound bow, first appeared in Season 9 of Apex Legends, now returning as a "sniper" weapon in Titanfall 3.

Overview[]

The Bocek Compound Bow is a sniper weapon that can be charged up to increase projectile velocity, and the only sniper weapon that can't use long-range optic. Unlike other weapons, this weapon can be fired without interfering with Cloak ability at all and like suppressed weapons, these shots are hidden from enemy's minimap.

The Bocek has a projectile drop, but it can be removed by activating Amped Weapons, which not only eliminate projectile drop, but it also makes projectiles curve towards targets. Like other projectile-based weapons, its projectiles can ricochet off surfaces at certain angles.

Mods and attachments[]

The compound bow can be modified to enhance lethality in some situations at the cost of others and vice versa.

Optics[]

Like other weapons, this compound bow can be attached with any of optics below:

  • Iron Sights
  • Reflex Holosight
  • HCOG
  • Long-Range HCOG
  • Variable Zoom Holosight
  • Digital Threat Reflex Sight
  • AOG Scope
  • Trajectory Projector

Magazine mods[]

Like other weapons, the military compound bow can be fitted with magazines other than standard mags.

Magazine Mod Effects
Standard Mag Default magazine for Bocek compound bow, holding 10 arrows.
Fast Mag Trades off magazine capacity in favor of faster reload times and faster draw speed, with only 6 arrows to shoot before reloading.
Extended Mag Extended magazine capacity allows it to fire for longer without reloading, at the cost of increased time for reloading and slower draw time, with 16 arrows to shoot before reloading.

Draw weight mods[]

This military compound bow can equip different draw weight to increase damage and projectile velocity at the cost of slower charge-up time and vice versa.

Draw Weight Mod Effects
Standard Draw Weight Medium draw weight with balanced charge up time and damage and projectile velocity.
Quick Draw Weight Faster charge up time (0.75 seconds, or 0.5 seconds with Sleight of Hand kit) at the expense of slower velocity (250 meters per second max) and lower damage.
Power Draw Weight Increased damage and projectile velocity (450 m/s max), but with longer charge up time (1.5 seconds, or a one full second with Sleight of Hand kit equipped).

Ammunition types[]

File:Ammo tranquilizer.png
Tranq Dart (campaign-only)
Less-lethal tranquilizer dart that can incapacitate human enemies as well as alien life and slows down small mechanical targets, though it can kill organic targets with repeated hits. This ammo type can be retrieved much like standard carbon-tipped arrows.

Pros and cons[]

Pros
  • As a bow weapon, the user firing this weapon won't show up on enemy's radar.
  • Fired bows on the map can be retrieved, making limited ammo an almost non-issue on some ammunition types.
  • It can be charged to fire with faster projectile velocity and charge time can be made faster by using Sleight of Hand kit.
Cons
  • Can't equip sniper optics despite being in Sniper Rifles category.
