- 4 Any questions
Well, he died for a car accident with Ferrari while exiting out of the tunnel and we're saddened by this unfortunate event. Though we thanked him for making Respawn Entertainment (after Activision fired him alongside Jason West and others from Infinity Ward behind early Call of Duty games like Modern Warfare 2) and so the existence of Titanfall series.
While we don't know the impact of this atrocious event on R…

11th anniversary of first Titanfall, our stance on AI Slop in video game development, and more
Hi Titanfall fans and happy 11th anniversary of Titanfall! Welcome to the blog post from Respawn Entertainment and Gravity Well about Titanfall 3!
A couple of months ago, Activision have been called out for putting AI Slop into Black Ops 6. Also while finding reference points to use in Titanfall 3, we found that using generative AI in the particular way is probably lazy and uninspired as we looked AI Records board of the 05 Command, a staff site dedicated for one of the many sources of reference points we're using, the SCP Foundation.
Our stances regarding using generative AI in development process of Titanfall 3 (and its campaign DLCs and expansion packs) and other Respawn games are to only use AI in brainstorming process and prohibit generative AI …
Team Blue's RRoD situation and more
Hi Titanfall fans! Welcome to the blog post from Respawn Entertainment and Gravity Well about Titanfall 3!
But here's the bad news in this month, the Intel CPU controversy affecting not just Titanfall 3, but also all games, every software applications including ones used on development of our game, and even operating systems other than the entire Microsoft Windows family of OSes on these systems using these "knwon problematic" CPUs.
hardware issue?]]
We don't think that it is an issue with the game itself, nor the drivers, not even bugs in Windows kernel itself that results in instability problems when playing Titanfall 3 on PCs equipped with 13th or 14th gen (Raptor Lake) Intel CPUs, rather it is something worse; a hardware problem affecting all In…
Titanfall 3 released and future stuffs
Hi Titanfall fans! Welcome to the blog post from Respawn Entertainment and Gravity Well about Titanfall 3!
We released Titanfall 3 on the 10th anniversary of the first Titanfall game and we received very good reviews (better than usual AAA games these days) according to Metacritic in terms of both metascore and user scores on all platforms, which is something Titanfall fans wanted Titanfall 3 to be.
We also share some future stuffs we're cooking on like campaign DLCs and expansion packs amongst other stuffs.
- 1 Campaign DLCs and expansion packs
- 1.1 Cartel-related missions
- 2 Designing enemy Pilots on foot for the campaign
- 3 Any questions
Just because the entire main story of this campaign has been wrapped up (though it has multiple endings) unlike the cliffhanger…
Happy New Year at Respawn and Gravity Well
Happy New Year to all Titanfall fans! Welcome to the blog post from Respawn Entertainment and Gravity Well about Titanfall 3!
Titanfall 3 is now scheduled to release in the 10th anniversary of the first Titanfall game as we felt that although it is close to being finished, it is still not ready to release in the end of 2023, so we end up with the second reveal teaser of Titanfall 3 instead and pushed back the release date of a highly-anticipated sequel to Titanfall 2 that fans are waiting for to 11 March 2024.
While enemies that fights each-other do exist in Titanfall 2 campaign, they're limited to aliens. So we want to expand this aspect to the glorious form; not only there are now human (including TALOS) enemies that fights eachother, but we also expand…
Titanfall 3 announced, the breakthrough in the series, and regarding the supposed teaser
Hi Titanfall fans! Welcome to the blog post from Respawn Entertainment and Gravity Well about Titanfall 3!
Titanfall 3 has been announced at 2023 The Game Awards and it is scheduled to release in the end of the year or the first day on the new year. And we made a breakthrough in Titanfall 3's campaign and PvE modes as well as the addition of offline modes, thanks to AI for enemy Pilots being implemented once and for all this time.
- 1 Making enemy Pilots on foot a reality in campaign and Frontier Defense
- 1.1 We also apply it to multiplayer to add offline mode
- 2 About the supposed Titanfall 3 reveal
- 3 Any questions
We all know that making the AI for Pilots on foot is very difficult to make and execute it well without resorting to scripted moments (which Re…
Bringing new perspectives by having to understand Titanfall series optional for experienced members
Remember that current team at Respawn Entertainment are composed of peoples who aren't part of Titanfall 2 development team when comes to Apex Legends development team. On the other hand, Gravity Well were formed by former development teams of Titanfall 2 like Drew McCoy and Jon Shiring.
Three years ago (or more precisely, 7 August 2020), we decided that development teams behind Titanfall 3 doesn't have to understand the Titanfall universe and the gameplay in-order to give more perspectives like the new single-player campaign that we worked so hard to adapt the branching storylines and other part of the Henry Stickmin series to the first-person shooter, but rest assured, we don't want to repeat the mistakes of 343 Industries' infamous quote …
Titanfall III release delayed and development progress
Hi Titanfall 3 schizophrenics! Welcome to the blog post from Respawn Entertainment and Gravity Well Games about the development of Titanfall III!
We have to make the difficult decision to not release the entire game right now as our devs felt that rushing the game are bound to disappoint fans of the series with missing features, game-breaking glitches, and other unfinished stuffs. Therefore, the game's release date has been pushed back to 7th August 2023 to give more time for the oven for the final installment on the series.
- 1 The campaign
- 2 The multiplayer
- 3 The sandbox
- 4 Regarding the cancellation of Titanfall/Apex single-player spinoff
- 5 References
- 6 Any questions
The single-player mode of Titanfall 2 while well-received, was too short and not replayable …
Making of new weapons for Titanfall III
Hi Titanfall 3 schizophrenics! Welcome to the blog post about the development of highly-anticipated Titanfall III from Respawn Entertainment and Gravity Well!
We're not only bringing in weapons from Apex Legends into Titanfall III, we also make brand new weapons with some of them are exclusive to Titanfall III to expand the arsenals of Titanfall universe. As for the new weapons, we look at other games as references (as we do for the campaign with Henry Stickmin-style references), bringing the weapons and adapting it into fast-paced Titanfall gameplay with some of significant changes (because Titanfall III does what Halo 4 isn't).
Also with ammunition types and hop-up attachments, some of it turns into one from other games (like Archer with KE round…
The Frontier Cold War and Frontier War II
Unfortunately, the tension between Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and Frontier Militia rises in the early 2800s, but we expected the next war, probably worse than the first one. As the IMC and Militia fight each other on the small area, the tension is only getting worse, possibly escalating Frontier Cold War to Frontier War II.
The destruction of Typhon during the last Frontier War and the lack of evidence of artifacts of the unknown alien race somewhere other than the aforementioned planet meant that antimatter-based weapons had to be developed in the future warfare.
Stay tuned for more information about the situation!
